Chad Hallock
is the visionary behind (HFC). Chad serves as Chief Executive Officer of HFC and its brands,
Budget Blinds and Closet Tailors. He is responsible for the overall planning and brand direction,
with a primary focus on franchise sales and consumer marketing.
An industry veteran, Chad started his career as a lead generator, salesman and installer for another
window covering company. It didn't take long for his dedication and initiative to pay off. Chad
became the company's youngest Senior Vice President at 20 years of age.
In 1992, Chad used his extensive industry experience and co-founded Budget Blinds, the flagship
concept of HFC. Within four years of starting the company, Chad helped grow Budget Blinds into a
leading window coverings frachise. Today, Budget Blinds has over 1,000 franchise territories and
$200 million in annual sales.
Chad remains involved in virtually every facet of the business, including strategic direction,
operations, training, franchise development, marketing, sales, and finance. He possesses an
unwavering optimism, a tireless work ethic, a comprehensive knowledge of the business, a genuine
concern for people and the confidence and determination to succeed.
Todd Jackson, Home Franchise Concepts co-founder and vice president
Todd Jackson serves as Operations Manager for Home Franchise Concepts
(HFC), which includes Closet Tailors and Budget Blinds, overseeing Finance and Legal,
Human Resources, and Production at the corporate headquarters in Southern California.
Todd has been involved in retail sales and the service industry for more than 20
years. Like his partners, Todd got his start in the window coverings industry in
1987, with another window covering franchise organization. In five years with that
company, Todd rose to the position of Vice President of Franchise Sales, responsible
for the sale of more than 78 franchises.
David Lewis, Home Franchise Concepts co-founder and vice president
David Lewis serves as Information Services and Technology Manager
for Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) and its companies Closet Tailors and Budget Blinds.
Dave manages Internet and Intranet development and application, franchise demographics,
local area networking, telephone and e-commerce services, the Goldmine contact management
system, and key-market sales. David monitors and is responsible for telephone routing,
credit card and other services that use Internet and electronic technologies and
standards. These services are vital to conducting business in multiple locations
across the country. Over the past few years, David has been instrumental in the
development of the company's private intranet communications system developed exclusively
for franchise business owners. David's education at the University of Santa Barbara
laid the foundation for his information technology expertise. His prior work experience
includes sales and training with another window covering company, where he met his
Budget Blinds co-founders.
Tony Forbes, Home Franchise Concepts co-founder and vice president
Tony Forbes leads
the Franchise Service Department for Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), an extensive
support and training team that serves Closet Tailors franchisees day in and day
out. Tony maintains that strong communications with and support of the business
owners is the key to success.
Tony graduated from California State University, Long Beach, where he earned his
bachelor's degree in interpersonal and organizational speech communication. Tony
spent years in hotel and restaurant management before he joined HFC's Budget Blinds
brand, gaining experience in franchise sales and development, ownership transfers,
trade show operations and franchisee support. He is a member of both the International
Franchise Association and the California State Contractors Board
Brent Hallock, Home Franchise Concepts co-founder and vice president
Brent Hallock, a 15-year veteran of the home improvement industry,
managed financial and legal functions for Budget Blinds, Home Franchise Concepts'
(HFC) flagship company, in the early years. Brent has devoted the past several years
to heading up Closet Tailors and Budget Blinds' franchisee support and training
team, and remains hands-on.
While attending Fullerton College in Southern California, Brent was recruited by
another window covering organization to help build the company. His initial duties
consisted of lead generation, sales and installation. Within a short period of time,
Brent became responsible for franchisee training, support and product knowledge.
Today, he oversees all HFC franchise training programs, annual regional workshops,
business rep. visitations and the annual convention.
